The Transmoscow eight-piece cap from Old Pal is a classic hat of a moderate volume, inspired by Moscow images of the 1920s, with its New Economic Policy, constructivism, Rodchenko, and Ilf and Petrov authors duo.
The eight-piece cap is made of selvedge (from “self-edge”) denim, the especially dense jeans fabric woven on the old-style machines. The width of selvedge denim does not exceed 75 cm, with the usual width of the contemporary jeans fabric 150 cm, and this was the way they had manufactured denim before the 1950s.
The peculiar characteristic of the selvedge denim is the woven fringe with a colored thread made into it. Every cap has a triangle attached that shows the beautiful woven fringe of the selvedge denim the cap is manufactured from.
The cap will serve you for many years, and it will age beautifully with time. Where bended, the denim becomes lighter, as it always happens with your jeans, and the cap will become a truly unique item.
The lining is made of dense but fine and light cotton fabric with plain herringbone weave.
All data is transferred to the lining by means of an ancient method of hand cloth printing, employing the special resistant German-made stamp ink for fabrics that does not fade even if boiled. A special stamp is placed in the cap that you can use to write your name and phone number in. If lost, it will increase a chance of its return.
When ordering, you might ask us to insert this information by means of a special textile marker, or just do it in our show room. A cap with inscription on it we will not be able to accept again, so please treat this request seriously.
The Old Pal caps are manufactured in Moscow by a small factory specializing in high-quality and small-batch clothing and accessories.
