Tweed eight-piece cap dedicated to the legendary American jazz musician Dizzy Gillespie.
Limited edition, created as part of the collaboration between Old Pal brand and Alexey Kozlov Jazz Club.
Eight-piece cap with medium width was made of blue-gray Harris Tweed with barleycorn weave. Harris Tweed fabric was hand woven in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, lined with soft Portugese fabric (97% cotton, 3% linen). Inner rim tape made of 100% cotton.
All information on the lining (except for the Harris Tweed woven label) is applied by the old method of hand printing using high-quality stamp ink for fabrics (it is resistant and does not fade).
There is a small pocket in the lining of the cap (the size of a standard plastic card). You can put cash, a bank card or a travel card in it. This brings us back to the old tradition of wearing small but valuable things in a cap. It also opens up opportunities, for example, to impressively pay for metro fare with a cap.
The Kozlov Club card will be put into the pocket of each cap.
A few words about Dizzy Gillespie, whose name the cap bears. One of the greatest jazz musicians of the 20th century, trumpeter. In the mid-1940s, together with a galaxy of other daredevils, Gillespie made a revolution: instead of melodic dance swing, they invented a new jazz that was dizzyingly fast, harmoniously complex and at first frightened the audience. The audience soon embraced the new music (called bebop), and Dizzy became a trendsetter: his hats, extraordinary suits and curved trumpet are still amazing and delightful.
The cap is suitable for both men and women.
