A classic English country jacket made of authentic waxed cotton from the Oxford Blue mill in Birmingham.

- Antique waxed cotton from Halley Stevensons, a Scottish mill established in 1864,
- Lining made of insulated and quilted cotton tartan,
- Adjustable sleeve cuffs with a tab and two brass snaps,
- Sleeve cuffs trimmed with corduroy,

- Two roomy patch pockets, two diagonal welt pockets, two inside pockets,
- Jacket fastens with a durable two-way brass zip and five snaps,
- Made in Birmingham (England).
Waxed cotton is an ancestor of modern waterproof fabrics for clothing from the 19th century. The dense cotton fabric was coated with a special composition of paraffin and special oils and additives at the factory.
Over time, as the wax comes out, the fabric will lose its water-resistant properties. To preserve them, you need to treat the jacket again with a special wax using the correct technology (we recommend contacting professionals).
The fabric will age beautifully, acquiring an individual pattern.
