Hawaiian shirts or aloha shirts appeared in the 1930s, initially they were sewn in Hawaii by Japanese tailors from predominantly Japanese fabrics with Japanese patterns (Mount Fuji, crane, sakura, etc.). As demand grew, shirts made from fabrics with images of traditional Hawaiian images began to appear: local flowers, palm trees, boats, waves, turtles, mackerels, etc.

About the material

Rayon is a type of viscose. It is one of the two most popular materials for making authentic Hawaiian shirts (along with cotton). The initial raw material for its production is wood (cellulose), which goes through several stages of processing. The production of viscose began at the end of the 19th century, since then the technology has not undergone significant changes.

Rayon shirts are very pleasant to the touch, lightweight, hygroscopic and quick-drying. Feels very similar to natural silk. In hot weather they provide pleasant cooling. The fabric is completely matte. Not electrified. The print is high quality and durable.

Care instructions:
- hand wash in cool water (no more than 30 degrees C),
- do not soak for more than 30 minutes,

- it is recommended to use liquid detergents for delicate fabrics,
- do not use bleaches,
- line dry at room temperature,

- do not tumble dry,
- gentle use of steamer is possible.
