Brown Swamp Magee Tweed 8-piece Cap by Hanna Hats /Donegal Tweed by Magee 1866/

A classic voluminous eight-piece cap from the Hanna Hats of Donegal Irish factory of warm brown swamp color.

 

The barleycorn Donegal tweed for this eight-piece cap is woven in the Magee 1866 manufacture, and it combines density and sturdiness characteristic of all Irish wool fabrics, with an unexpected softness.

 

This tweed is not part of the main range of Hanna Hats catalogue and was selected by the Tweed Hat team during a visit to their Donegal factory in January 2020. Limited edition, will not be repeated.

 

The cap cut allows changing its position on one’s head, like:

• wearing it on one side like a beret,
• flatting the fabric in such a way that will make the volume look smaller than it is in reality,
• or, vice versa, straighten the fabric to demonstrate the beauty of the cap’s vintage voluminous cut.

 

Yes, these caps are worn by the Shelby brothers of Peaky Blinders TV series about Birmingham in the 1920s.

 

It fits both men and women.
