The best known tweed manufacturer today if the Scottish brand Harris Tweed. Despite their global popularity, all their products are still woven by hand in the Outer Hebrides, to the north-west from Scotland.
Hanna Hats of Donegal produced a small batch of peaked caps to our order, of a very beautiful Harris Tweed cloth.
As we do not believe that Donegal tweed is any worse than the Scottish one, these caps are sold at prices not exceeding our usual ones.
It fits both men and women.
To see more details on the Harris Tweed history and how the world almost lost this wonderful tweed not a long time ago, you may read here, in the long text we have translated into russian and designed for you: Harris Tweed. The Rise and Fall of the Legend. The text will take you no less than 25 minutes to read, it is a long one. Original article is "The Very Recent Fall and Rise of Harris Tweed. Textile, Volume 10, Issue 1" by Harper, C. McDougall, K.
