Classic knitted pullover from the small Irish factory McConnell Woolen Mills.
Breton striped sweaters appeared in the mid-19th century as clothing for French sailors, designed to protect against harsh weather and keep warm.
Moderately soft, wear-resistant material, consisting only of wool annually sheared from alive sheep (pure new wool), which will become softer and softer as you wear it. All the yarn for these sweaters is dyed and spun in the traditional way in County Donegal.
All McConnell Woolen Mills items are designed and manufactured in the village of Killaloe, Clare Co. on the west coast of Ireland to a special order from our store.
