A men's cardigan with authentic Aran patterns, hand-knitted for the family-run Scottish factory Inverallan.
Hand-knitted items by Inverallan are noticeably different from the more common machine-knitted wool items in that their fabric is much denser, and the items themselves are very massive and heavy, like full-fledged outerwear.
This is approximately how the knitted clothes of fishermen and other inhabitants of the coast of Ireland and Scotland in the 19th and early 20th centuries looked and felt.

The cardigan is knitted from Irish yarn brand Kilcarra Tweed - a type of dense tweed from the famous Donegal Yarns factory.
