A traditional yellow Aran knitted cap of pure merino sheep wool. It was knitted at a small Irish manufacture Kerry Woolen Mills that has been in operation since 1760. A warm, cozy, comfortable and practical.
The cap has a textured braids pattern. These patterns are called “Aran” after the Aran Islands in the West of Ireland, where the population is predominantly in fishing. This is why the principal element of the pattern is a braid. It symbolized fishing tackle and serves as a good luck wish.
