Brown Buffalo Felt Western Hat Austral Old West 4X by Stetson /Fur Felt/

The Stetson Austral Old West 4X hat takes us back to early 19th century cowboy looks and recalls the very first Stetson hat called the Boss of the Plains. It is part of the Buffalo Collection, which includes hats made from felt with buffalo fur, one of the main symbols of the American plains.

 

The hat is made at the Stetson factory in Garland, Texas from dense, comfortable to the touch and well-shaped 4X felt. The number near the letter X stands for the category of cowboy hat felt and is associated with the proportion in which the down of a beaver, a hare and other animals (in this case, a buffalo) is combined in the material.

 

Similar hat was worn by Kurt Russell's hero in the movie Tombstone (1993).
