Tweed Hat, call back to me!

Green Plaid Harris Tweed Vintage cap by Hanna Hats /Harris Tweed/

Code: 10147

A classic flat cap of middle volume, and with a visor of standard length. Caps like that were worn 100 years ago, and the people still wear them.

The cap is made of checkered green Harris tweed of twill weave, woven by hand at the Outer Hebrides, in the Northwest of Scotland. The fabric is very dense and durable, with the normal use it will serve for years.

You can see this cap style (but made of different tweed) on main protagonist in Russian superhero movie "Major Grom: Plague Doctor" (2021).

It fits both men and women.

To see more details on the Harris Tweed history and how the world almost lost this wonderful tweed not a long time ago, you may read here, in the long text we have translated into russian and designed for you: Harris Tweed. The Rise and Fall of the Legend. The text will take you no less than 25 minutes to read, it is a long one. Original article is "The Very Recent Fall and Rise of Harris Tweed.
